  Blueberries are a native North American Fruit with a sweet flavor and are excellent for eating, preserving and cooking.   And best of all, they are a healthy and healing food because of their disease fighting anti-oxidant activity.

 They are also an attractive landscape focus with their red fall foliage.  The type of blueberry grown in this region is generally the highbush variety, which grow six to eight feet tall.
